Quartz & Ceramics
GTSP Global offers our customers a wide range of capability with regard to component parts. We are a qualified supplier of opaque quartz, clear quartz, borosilicate and ceramic parts. All of which are used extensively in semiconductor CVD and Etch systems, as well as polysilicon reactors and Trichlorosilane converters. Our customer base includes both equipment manufacturers, as well as end user manufacturing plants.
Opaque Quartz We have the ability to manufacture our opaque quartz to customer specific requirements with optical transmittance levels below 3% for specified wave-lengths, while meeting required density specifications. These parts are typically used to protect sensitive component parts from the high levels of infrared heat generated in reactors and converters. Our capability extends to engineering, development and manufacture of prototype and experimental parts for process and/or manufacturing improvements, as well as cost reduction efforts.
Clear Quartz Our capability with clear quartz includes both high temperature furnace annealing, as well as fire polishing by hand. Our highly developed processes allow us to establish a transparent finish on any part design, while annealing to reduce the stress build-up inherent in quartz manufacturing.
Ceramic We have a highly diverse portfolio of ceramic (alumina and zirconia) parts, used across many industries. We specialize in unique parts which require difficult molding and machining with tight tolerances. Our specialized process flow uses tight control of particle sizing and binder application to ensure consistent density. We use dry molding and reaction sintering to tightly control the forming and curing process. Our dedicated CNC mills and lathes have fine finish capability for tight tolerances.
